It was I Gen...the deGen
they going for that akame ga kill ending ay?
Kill em all Tomino Approves.
Urobuchi Gen simply does not disappoint. I am watching this series without a single moment of friction. Looking forward to the finale.
why must he pull my heartstrings...it's just like a tampon..when its pulled, it flows!
The Urobutcher is back and fiending for blood.
Interesting to learn Raizou's fiancee had bitten a gold coin to take his life and had misunderstood Raizou's feelings too even though he always seemed so sincere, I hope for his sake Yuen doesn't reveal she was aware she killed her father, I think that would break him beyond recovery. It's sad that she died believing that and with the feeling of betrayal already with the feeling of loss of her father.
I am glad Souji has decided to stop going after Raizou's life, or at least postponed it for the time being. It was a little surprising when Raizou let out that he knew Souji was attempting to take his life, I guess he would have let it happen if Souji truly did want to take his life.
I thought the fight was going to start this episode but I guess it will all be taken care of in one episode. Hopefully none of members die but I have a feeling not everyone will survive this fight.
he's a samurai, he can sense bloodlust
that's how he dodged the bullet in the 1st place
Also he can sense plot-armor
Yeah, I see death flags everywhere. From the beginning, I've decided not to get attached to the characters.
Vengeance is mine, I shall repay, says the Lord. -- The whole premise of their efforts is wrong to begin with. They may be assassins, mercenaries, or contracted killers but being Church agents doing a righteous deed for the sake of the weak is NOT even biblical. They can delude themselves otherwise but it doesn't change the facts at the end of the day. They are hired killers.
Wow, after i re-watched ep 1, the 2 bells and Yui's suicide makes sense. She might have cursed her fiance, but she immediately took her live after the Bell. Cause she wanted to die with him. Yes woman don't mean what they say most of the time. So if Revengers didn't ring 2nd Bell. One samurai would still have "happy" family :P
Not all that "happy" as she was of the opinion he had not only killed her father whom she loved. He did kill him after all. She also believed he was playing her for her family's position and money. Only the revenger was able to sus out the truth and then the question would be, with such hard and deeply felt anger, would she accept that her fiance, who actually did kill her father, was innocent and gullible enough to be a victim of manipulation?
Yea it was shocking to find out that Raizo knew that Souji wanted to kill him. I think by the end, Raizo will find out that his wife hated him and that will be his next "journey" to forgive himself after killing the opium trade. Or maybe he decides to commit suicide after discovering it which could happen since it is Urobutcher who made it.
Souji would have failed anyways Raizou would have sensed his bloodlust and yea im sure we all have that vibe i honestly hope they catch us off guard and all of them lives lol
Souji's finishing move is like a WWE finishing move lol...
The only problem is that Raizo is ready to die. It was until recently (the Liu case and revenge) that he has a strong reason to keep living.
And speaking about Souji, He isn't hiding his intent to kill Raizo. He's a gambler who can't hide his emotions 🙄
damn, the girl died cursing raizo, what a sad mmisunderstanding. raizo would be devastated if heard the truth :(
Though it's a misunderstanding, she had every right to curse him, because the truth is he indeed chose to take the life of his father in law while knowing his fiancee would want to kill him
she's no different than raizo tho....she immediately thought raizo deceived them and wants him dead too....she didnt even consider it could be raizo got deceived by his employer.....same way how raizo believed his father in-law is an opium tycoon instead of questioning it could be slander.....the only difference is that she didnt dirty her own hand to kill raizo, which is why he's alive because it's a misunderstanding started from the slander...
there's a legal concept, detrimental reliance, that fits well here
This is a bit of a stretch, his fiancee seemed like she want completely ballistic. I doubt Raizo knew about that "part" or that "capacity" of hers.
She knew the truth. I believe she sympathized with Raizo
wow they managed to make the waifu subplot even sadder :'(
the deGen Urobuchi mark
*overwhelming sadness.*
urobuchi: BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! :D
cant wait for more :D
Definitely a show I didn't expect that I would like that much...also the VActing by the fiancee was really good
Revengers last battle in next ep let's go.
With Raizo also having a koban for himself, Yuen can approach this symbolically - by discovering his capacity for art, Yuen has committed to making sure Kurima Raizo is no more. Yuen suggested Kurima to take a new name, Taishin, and to spend his life for the sake of art. In a sense, the emergence of Taishin would be the end of Kurima Raizo the samurai, and, thus, the revenge is complete.
That's granted anyone is still breathing by the end of the next episode to touch on this.
I think the butcher will strike someone down
Not gonna lie, I didn't see this coming, no wonder his ex "wife to be" killed herself.... And it's actually a bit sad he's gonna live his life not knowing she HATED him XD. Even with only about 3 minutes of screen time Nio still making this better lol. The walk of a super-hero Killers to show they're ready to go!!
I would say ignorance is bliss in this case. He's already got enough weighing on him that knowing his fiance died bearing such a huge unfounded grudge against him, surely wouldn't help with..
100%
Her hatred is justified and acceptable. And Raizo is living his life as if he heard her last words.
Thankfully, Nio doesn't know about this part. It's a secret shared by the three adults
If she knew I'm sure she'd kill him with no hesitation, she takes her job pretty well, even willing to kill the ones who gets out of the Revengers group.
Not sure. (Is Nio officially a girl?!) Guess who is protecting/ giving Raizo another chance ?! It's Yuen. And Nio wouldn't dare (out of respect) to make Yuen upset.
She/he is just a genderless being for now, but it's easier by looks to just say She... about Yuen, well she did almost kill him (just a thought she didn't actually try) when he said he wanted out of this "world" of assassination. But again I Do8bt she would lol
Gender ?! Come on😮💨 You can't argue about someone's gender cause what they think is what matters. Not what you see nor the facts. Anyway, I'm talking about his sex. Nio may look like a girl but he is definitely a boy. Do some research and see for yourself.
I remember about that scene. And I think it's understandable. It's similar to what happened in this episode. Yuen is the leader. Maybe he (or the Chapel) was the one who made the group's rules. And those rules are to be applied even if he isn't disagreeing. That's why he didn't try to stop Nio before and Souji recently. But the group (including the doctor) respect his judgment on people
Uh oh sounds like hes next on the hit list, somethings not right here.
didnt expect thats whats going on behind the scene
my fave episode so far
woah that was one badass ending ngl
next week we get to see the showdown finally
Damm.... The fiance knew and hated him till death... Imagine if he knew about his fiance final moments
don't think Yuen has the heart to tell him...Yuen knew he f*cked up as well
It wouldn't change him that much. Raizo isn't seeking her forgiveness. He fully knows and admits what he did cannot be solved by asking forgiveness. Since the 1st day, he's ready to die. Yuen was the one who gives him hope to live.
At first it was crazy to me that this was made by the same guy that made Psycho-pass but after watching this episode I saw little glimpses that made me think "yeah I can see it now".
This was a good episode
Really good episode, 1 more episode to go guys correct me if I'm wrong.
So next ep is Revengers vs Revengers? :O Hypeee!!!
Ah, classic Urobutchi storytelling, deconstructing your (supposedly) absolute belief. Sure you're doing a favor for helpless people who don't have the power to exact revenge on their own. Sure you have a condition/payment that proved how deep the desire for revenge. But there's a possibility that the people with revenge in mind misunderstood the situation, or even worse, manipulated for it. Also the revenge target might actually deeply regret his/her action and turned into a new leaf.
Then there's the group walking enthusiastically with a smile. Ofc, by Urobutchi's standard most of them won't be back in one piece.
Get ready for tragedy next week, boys!
